Kiln Bakery: a free HTML template for bakeries and cafes

What's in the zip

• Home (index.html): headline, intro, a bar for opening hours and a short notice, and a strip of photos.
• Daily board (board.html): today's bakes, each with a photo, a name and one line of description.
• Catering (catering.html): a simple request form with name, email and a box for headcount and day.
• Story (story.html): a short about page.
• Visit (contact.html): location details and a contact form.
• 404 page, plus README.md and LICENSE.txt.

Sample photos are included so the layout looks finished. Swap in photos of your own bakes before you publish.

How to use it

1. Unzip and open index.html in a browser to look around.
2. Edit the text in each .html file and replace the photos in assets/img/. Keep the file names, or update each src.
3. Change the colors at the top of assets/css/style.css. They're three CSS variables: --crumb, --flour and --ember.
4. Connect the forms. As shipped they don't send anywhere. Set each form's action to a form service such as Formspree or Netlify Forms, or to your own backend.
5. Upload the folder to any static host: Netlify, GitHub Pages, Cloudflare Pages or your own server.

It works down to phone width, and the navigation folds into a Menu button below 800 px. Fonts are Bricolage Grotesque and Figtree from Google Fonts, both free under the SIL Open Font License.

License and credit

Kiln Bakery is released under CC BY 4.0. You can copy it, change it and use it for personal or commercial projects, including client websites. The one condition is to keep the footer credit, "Template by DTS Templates," visible and linked to dts-templates.com on the published site.
